Group Tour Magazine is a publication geared toward group tour operators and the group tourism industry that I art direct. When I started with Greenspring Media, I completed a full redesign of Group Tour Magazine, from cover to cover. This included an entire rebrand of logo, media kit, and refining the structure of the magazine itself. As with all of my other design projects, I like to include bespoke illustrations for Group Tour Magazine, whenever they benefit a feature.
Drinks is a magazine that is distributed by Green’s Beverages in South Carolina and Georgia, published quarterly. Using a combination of provided and stock photos, I use bold typography to create an elevated and visually striking magazine.
As the art director for Real Food, I design the book from cover to cover, including planning and directing photoshoots for feature layouts.
As part of my design work with Greenspring Media, I designed features for Minnesota Monthly’s Ultimate Travel Guide. I also contributed feature design for Minnesota Monthly.
As the graphic designer for FenderBender Magazine, I was in charge of creating layouts, lettering, and illustrations for every page of the magazine. Shown here are examples of those layouts.
As an Associate Art Director for Tiger Oak Media, I designed and art directed Maple Grove Magazine, Michigan Meetings + Events Magazine, Texas Meetings + Events Magazine and California Meetings + Events Magazine. Shown here are examples of my photo direction, hand-lettering, and layout design.
Inspired by my very own bathroom tiles and my love of typography, I created a faux mosaic completely in Photoshop.
As part of my design work with Mittera, I helped create weekly advertisements for Hy-Vee. This included conceptualizing creative imagery, assisting with directing photography, and executing the final layout.
My first redesign of a Meredith Publishing bookazine was for Décor. I worked with the editor and art director to create a fresh approach for the magazine's layouts and logo. The magazine was for sale on newsstands, nationwide.
As part of my work with Mittera, I created a brochure for Custer State Park. This brochure covered the rehabilitation efforts after the 2017 fire that devastated the Black Hills. This piece needed to have a serious tone, but still have a sense of hope for the future, celebrating all the work that had been done to restore Custer State Park. A color scheme inspired by the imagery was used to help tie the graphic elements and photography together.
